This is our Kickstarter Santoku Knife.
Santoku translates as “three benefits” and relates to the knife's ability to slice, dice and mince. This is the Japanese version of a Western chef's knife.
HANDLE: Octagonal handle made out of waste plastic which we will go out and find. This waste source is always changing depending on what we collect, so there can be variations in colour. The handle isn't perfect, it's rubbish.
STEEL: SF-100 High Carbon Stainless Steel
This steel has both super sharp edge performance and great rust resistance.
MARK: We have stamped our signature 'AG' into the blade. This mark is inspired by the Peak District, Mt. Fuji and a Sheffield arrowhead.
WHAT'S IN THE BOX: Inside your knife box you will receive a recipe notebook, knife care instructions, a penny for good luck, a sticker designed by Jordan Awan (and your knife!). All packaging is made from 100% waste and is 100% recyclable.
Please allow for 7 days for this plastic to be sourced, washed, shredded, melted and attached to your blade.
We handcraft our knives in Sheffield, the heart of Britain’s knife-making industry.
We're on a mission to tackle plastic waste, by turning it into kitchen goods.
